Birds
So I’ve always enjoyed watching small backyard birds at my feeders. After I bought my first camera, the first workshop that I took to learn more about my new craft was Bird Photography. Every day we took pictures of the migrating water birds in wildlife refuges on the East coast of Florida. I discovered that I was fascinated by the variety of avian wildlife that nested in this area. Of course being from New England, I had to learn to identify most of these new species. I quickly learned that I enjoy making images of all types of birds; from the tiny hummingbird or kingfisher to the mighty eagle or the Great Blue Heron. I especially love to photograph owls but they can be difficult to find. Now I frequent wildlife refuges, go out on airboat rides, and even make trips to the Everglades in search of winged subjects.
